Danish police are bracing themselves for a fresh wave of gang violence, after it emerged a new outlaw biker group is responsible for a recent spate of armed robberies, extortion and widescale drug dealing.

Called the ” International Club ” , its members are mostly criminals posing as asylum seekers. So far its activities have been largely confined to the capital, Copenhagen, and authorities fear the rapid growth of the International Club means that the established Hells Angels and Bandidos gangs will involved in yet another bloody turf war.

Tensions between the Angels and the Bandidos has de-escalated since the violence which claimed two lives in the early nineties, but police fear this may spark new clashes.
