Aprilia unveils Haga rep RSV-R

1 of 1

Park up an Aprilia Mille R at any bike meet and you’re bound to attract attention. But these special Nori Haga-replicas would even turn heads in the WSB paddock.

For the full story on the Haga replica Aprilia RSV Mille R don’t miss the latest copy of MCN, out May 22.

Just 300 of the special replicas have been built, and they’re signed by the Samurai of Slide himself.

The price has been set at £10,700– £800 more than the standard V-twin – but you do get a lot for your money. There’s an Akrapovic twin exhaust with titanium silencers and carbon-fibre supports, a new fuel injection chip and a 16-tooth front sprocket, one less than the standard bike.

Aprilia claims peak power is up from 130bhp to 133bhp, but there’s a more noticeable boost of 10bhp at 6000rpm to give the mid-range a kick.

The paintscheme is identical to Haga’s racer, with the sponsors’ logos in place as well as his famous number 41. Haga’s signature is engraved on to a plate attached to the top yoke and the bodywork apes the look of the carbon kit used on the racer.

Even Haga himself is impressed – and he has asked for the first one built to be shipped to his home in Japan. He said: ” ” I am very happy to get my own replica – I’ve never had one before. I look forward to seeing people riding them on the road. “
