More ‘limited edition’ Rossi reps launched

Honda has launched a second version of its limited-edition CBR600 Sport Rossi replica to celebrate his 2001 GP championship victory.

For the full story on the new Rossi-reps, don’t miss the new MCN, out May 29.

The bike is virtually identical to the 2001 limited edition CBR600 painted in the same yellow colour scheme as Rossi’s 2001 NSR500 two-stroke. The only difference is a minor change to the graphics.

But the decision to add another 2000 machines to what was supposed to be a strictly limited production run is bound to upset some owners of the older version. The 100 UK owners of the original, officially imported versions shouldn’t worry too much however, there are no plans to bring in any the new bikes.

If you’re desperate to get you hands on one, parallel importers like DK Motorcycles reckon they can track the bikes down in Europe and bring them over.
