Piaggio to fit datatag as standard

Piaggio taking a lead in the war against bike theft. The Italian company is fitting Datatag kits to all Piaggio, Gilera and Vespa scooters.

The system of etched serial numbers and transponders will be fitted on the assembly line and the details kept on a secure database.

The only catch is prices go up £19.99 to cover admin charges.
