Exclusive images of the new R1

1 of 1

This week in MCN, out August 13, we exclusively reveal how the 2004 Yamaha R1 will look.

The new bike has surprised everyone by taking its styling cues from Italy and in particular MV Agusta’s F4.

The new bike is expected to get more aggressively shaped headlights, an underseat exhaust, more angular bodywork, a similar swingarm to the R6 and a more rounded tailpiece to replace its current sharp-edged affair.

Check out this week’s MCN, out Wednesday August 13, for full details and our exclusive computer-generated image.

Also in MCN this week we bring you the latest news of the Kawasaki Z1000s 750cc baby brother and the latest technological advances from the Ducati factory including a semi-automatic gearbox, variable length inlet tracks and a steering damper that integrates into the forks.

We also road test MV Agusta’s Brutale, the naked version of the F4, and look at what makes the Suzuki GSX-R750 so special.

And there’s an eight-page pull-out supplement dedicated to the MCN Babe Squad.

Get all this and more in this week’s MCN.
