BMW launches new cruiser

BMW has launched a new cruiser in the shape of the R1200C Montauk.

The Montauk features vertically stacked dual headlamps, Telelever front forks and five-spoke alloy wheels with wide tyres (150/80-16 front and 170/80-15 rear). It also features a narrow passenger seat than other BMW cruisers.

The bike shares its dual-ignition, 1200cc flat-twin engine with the rest of BMW’s cruiser range, giving a similar performance to the R1200C Classic and the distinctive looks will be the main selling point.

The Montauk arrives in dealers in September at around £9500 on the road.
