Toseland aids lock idea

World Superbike champion James Toseland will officially launch a new security scheme at the MCN London Motorcycle Show in February.

Lock-2-Lock is the brainchild of London bikers Mike Sladden and Ian Porter. Owners attach a special sticker to their bikes, which authorises other members to attach their bike’s chain lock to that particular bike’s lock. Two or more bikes are then locked together, making them much more difficult to pinch.

“The worry of how to secure motorcycles and finding somewhere safe to park takes away the enjoyment of riding,” said Toseland. “It’s great that a new scheme is dedicted to improving security, and I hope I can play a small part by helping to tackle the problem.”

The official launch is at the MCN London Motorcycle Show in February, but the scheme is already running. You can obtain a Lock-2-Lock pack which includes stickers, guidelines, and terms and conditions, by clicking here.
