1 of 1

The maddest specials in the world are featured in an eight-page supplement free with MCN, Wednesday January 7.

Unbelievable creations include the Café Racer style, all aluminium Yamaha R1 from California, a Ducati 999S treated to £45,000-worth of aftermarket goodies and a carbon-fibre clad cruiser which has twice the torque of an R1.

There’s also the 550bhp turbo Hayabusa which is road legal and cost less than £15,000 to build. It has been tested to 232mph, and theoretically it is capable of over 250mph.

And to prove individuality isn’t always a good thing, there’s a round-up of the bikes that should have been left standard…

The maddest specials in the world are all in the eight page guide with MCN, out Wednesday January 7, and if you’re inspired to create your own unique bike, browse the Bikes for Sale for a suitable machine. You’ll find your tuning parts in the MCN Shop and MCN Directory.
