Caught on camera at Silverstone

1 of 1

Did you get approached by a gorgeous girl in lycra at Silverstone at the weekend? Our MCN Babe Squad was out in force to take your pictures at the opening British superbike round.

Everyone who had a snap taken with our girls should be getting the pictures e-mailed to them this week. See some examples, right, and look out for the babes with cameras at the next round.

Getting snapped with one of our girls certainly beats getting caught on a Gatso, or by the other devices the boys in blue had lined up to catch us out on the roads to Silverstone over the weekend.

The police were good enough to warn us that ” Operation Biker ” would be on in an effort to cut speeding and casualty rates. We issued the warning on this site. But it looks like it was car drivers who could have done with the advice.

The organisers say 38 speeding offences were detected over the weekend on roads leading to Silverstone. Only eight of those were recorded against motorcyclists. The highest speed a biker was caught at was 74mph in a 60mph zone.

One other Silverstone bonus came in the form of our competition to win up to £1000 off your next bike (if it’s advertised on motorcyclenews.com). If you found a handlebar hanger on your bike when you returned to it you’ll have the clues you need to seek out the secret advert. Use our QuickSearch for a first trawl, but use Advanced Search to be more specific in your search. You need to be registered to do that.
