MCN Spring Spectacular highlights

1 of 1

Over 5000 people enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere of the MCN Spring Spectacular on March 26-28 and you can see the highlights here.

The entertainment on Friday night was topped by ex-Specials frontman Neville Staples who got the entire crowd moving at Reds nightclub with classics such as ‘Rudy Can’t Fail’. Add in some drunken tomfoolery and everyone went to bed happy.

And on Saturday crowds were able to experience what it would be like without cars on the roads. With the help of Lincolnshire police, the ride out to Cadwell Park took place with junctions closed for the procession and plenty of waving from the public en route. At the end of the trip riders had the chance to take a ride around the circuit, on anything from a Fireblade to a Harley.

And when everyone returned it was time to get dressed up for the evening, with many people choosing fancy dress. Everyone from Spiderman to St Trinians schoolgirls made an appearance to have a few drinks and enjoy bands including the Po’ Boys.

If you had any energy left, there was the chance to try Yamaha Supermotos, Minimotos, and get your bike dyno’d. Plus a full stunt show which included the Vertical Brits, freestyle motocross, trials riding and stuntman Terry Grant managing to doughnut two cars at the same time.

And you could even do your bit for charity by undergoing the hardship of having your picture taken with the 2004 Babe Squad. The money raised went to the charity CLIC.

Sunday night continued the entertainment for all of you who didn’t need to be up early on Monday morning, and there were plenty of trade stands offering bargains.
