You’re one in a million

There’s more of us on the roads than any time in the last 17 years, according to Department For Transport figures.

The number of bikes and mopeds registered for use on British roads in 2003 topped 1,000,000 for the first time since 1986, according to figures released today, March 25.

The total of 1,005,000 is almost 7 per cent up on 2002 while the amount of cars on the road increased by less than two per cent.

Registered bikes reached a low of 594,000 in 1995 but it’s been a steady increase ever since.

New bike registrations have dropped this year, which suggests people are hanging on to used bikes for longer – and less are getting scrapped. So maybe it’s time you thought about a new one? Check out our BIKES FOR SALE section and start drooling.
