BMW boss goes global

BMW’s GB bike boss is on the move after just 10 months in the job.

Pieter de Waal arrived in January with a stunning record of success in South Africa – increasing sales ten-fold in seven years. Now he’s being asked to run BMW bike’s sales and marketing worldwide.

He is the the first non-German to land a job this big in BMW motorcycling.

He starts his new role in November and will be based in Munich. His replacement in the UK has yet to be appointed.
