Parking fine for Gatso

A speed camera operator is facing a fine for parking illegally in a bus stop while nicking speeding motorists.

Police in Victoria, Australia, have issued the ticket. Pleasingly, the organisation which delivers the tickets is the same one that operates the speed cameras, according to TheAge.com.au (click here for the full story – external site)

It’s not the first time the operators have been in hot water. Last month a camera operator was sacked after it was revealed he’d set his speed camera to issue tickets for anyone going over 70kph – on an 80kph road. And in the summer more than 100 drivers had fines refunded after another camera was proven to have been set inaccurately.
