Hit-and-run hunt update

Police have issued an update on their hunt for a hit-and-run biker after the death of rider Ralph Snowden on the B1257 on May 28.

They say they are now trying to trace the rider of a black Suzuki GSX-R which was seen on the B1257 close to the collision on the afternoon of Saturday May 28. They feel that rider may have vital information and are asking for contact from anyone who has information about a similar machine being in the area on that day. You should call them on 01723 509555

Ralph Snowdon’s funeral is on Wednesday, June 8. It will be a private event. However all are invited to the memorial event which follows at Squires Café Bar, near Sherburn-in-Elmet from 4pm. Officers from the enquiry team will be in attendance at the memorial.
