Custom Super Blackbird from the U.S.

1 of 7

My CBR1100XX Super Blackbird was flipped before I bought it, but the frame and suspension were straight and it would start up and run.

I bought it to do this project and to sell when done. Final cost comes to about $4500, and I did all work myself. The headlight fairing is aluminum, as is the tail light housing. Handlebar mounts are milled from solid aluminum as well as the mirror mounts. Side covers are also aluminum. Muffler hangers and turn signal mounts front and rear are 4130 steel. Box under Corbin Smuggler saddle contains ecu and rear harness. It is aluminum. Seat key lock was moved to left side from rear when stock inner fender was cut down and handle for raising on center stand was moved forward and rectifier was mounted under it. Fuel tank and mirrors are new Honda parts. Mirrors are 919 original parts.
Wheels are original but have been chromed. Mufflers are D&D carbon fiber. Black pained parts were done by me, also. It took about five months and the hardest part was the fairing and tail light housing. It’s very fast and about 40+pounds lighter than stock.
