Thousands of MotoGP fans gathered in front of a giant screen at the NEC to see Nicky Hayden clinch his first title.

Visitors to the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show grouped around the screen on the Blackhorse Stage to see the American secure the championship in dramatic fashion.

And with tension mounting the 15,000 people at the show watching the broadcast from Valencia were treated to a special greeting from BBC presenter, Suzi Perry.

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of the NEC Bike Show organisers, MCI Exhibitions commented “I have never seen anything like this before at the Bike Show. It was amazing to see thousands of people glued to the spot and cheering on their heroes during the historic race. The atmosphere was electric.”
