Speeding biker just being ‘punctual’

An American motorcyclist caught riding at 137mph through Reese, Michigan, told police he was just trying to get to work on time, a court heard last week.

The motorcyclist’s implausible excuse has now earned him a place on the police force’s speeding bulletin board.

County Sheriff James Giroux said: “We have a ‘Wall of Fame’ here in the report room, and when anybody arrests someone traveling over 100mph, we mark it down.”

“This guy has set the new record and given us the worst excuse so far.”
