UK's New stupid council

Nottinghamshire County Council has wasted valuable resources refurbishing two unused bus shelters on a disused route a stone’s throw away from a notoriously potholed road.  

It means the local authority has stolen the crown of Islington Council in London, which we named as the UK’s most stupid council last month.

This was after £250,000 was spent on speed humps while there was no money to fix dangerous potholes on the same road.

We asked you to name a more stupid council and dozens of you responded, but Nottinghamshire was the clear winner.
