BikeSafe encouraging young riders to kit-up

Lancashire’s RideSafe BackSafe initiative has kicked off to encourage youngsters and less experienced motorcyclists, typically on scooters and smaller capacity motorcycles, to wear the right protective clothing rather than worrying about looking cool.

Shelby Williams, Road Safety Adviser for Lancashire Constabulary said, “Riding a motorcycle or scooter is brilliant fun and makes a statement about who you are, but riding out in jeans and T-shirts without gloves and boots is irresponsible.”
