Video: Ducati boss announces resignation

Ducati’s president and chief executive Federico Minoli has announced his retirement from the firm via an on-line video blog.

Minoli, who has been running Ducati for the last 11 years, took the reins when investors Texas Pacific bought the company from former boss Claudio Castiglioni. He explains on the video that now Texas Pacific has sold its share to another investment group, Italian company InvestIndustrial, he is to leave so the new owner can put one of its own people in charge.

During his time in control of Ducati, the firm has grown massively and seen huge success with the 916 and its successors right up to the new 1098, as well as the instigation of its hugely impressive MotoGP effort.
