BMW team up with Garmin to create motorcycle-specific sat-nav

BMW has teamed up with satellite navigation firm Garmin to create a bike-specific sat-nav unit.

The Zumo BMW’s Navigator III, in the GPS range and features full European maps, Bluetooth to enable you to hear directions or answer your mobile phone, and a points of interest database to steer you to local sights and sounds.

Bike-specific features include a fuel-gauge icon, waterproofing, and large buttons that can be used while wearing gloves. The Zumo can be hooked up to your MP3 player, and can receive traffic reports if you purchase the options TMC accessory.

The sat nav unit costs £475, and the TMC add-on £111.
