Riders for Health offers GP paddock passes

1 of 1

Charity group Riders for Health is set to auction off 2 pairs of premium paddock passes for every round of the 2008 MotoGP motorcycle racing championship, following a deal with race organiser Dorna.

Dorna has introduced a two-tier system for accessing the paddock in 2008, with only premium pass holders gaining unlimited access to pit garages.

A separate auction is planned for each round of the championship, with the first auction for the Qatar round on March 6-8 set to close a 9pm on March 2. Details of the closing dates for subsequent GP rounds are available in the newly created ‘auctions’ section of the charity’s website.

Cash raised through the auctions is due to be used to boost Riders ongoing programmes in Africa, which covers provision of motorcycles for medical staff in the continent.

The charity has recently begun training medical personnel in Lesotho to ride 120 motorcycles donated by singer Elton John.
