Hundreds of riders brought roads to a standstill in two newprotests against the price of petrol on Saturday.

In Scotland, around 300 riders were led by police from Kinross, Perthsire, over the Forth Road Bridge into Edinburgh, before congregating in the city centre.

And in Wales, around 80 riders formed a Convoy on the M4 before being blocked from entering Cardiff by police.

A spokeswoman for the protest, known as Hamster, said: “People who took part have completely lost faith in the police.”
