Yellow Honda Fireblades commemorate Steve Brogan’s win

Honda is set to release a limited run of 100 yellow Fireblades, to celebrate HM Plant rider Steve Brogan winning the British Superstock championship at Silverstone on Sunday.

Brogan is set to sign and number the seat hump of every bike, and they will be available to buy at the end of October for £9,321 – the same on-the-road price as a standard Fireblade.

Steve Martindale, boss of Honda UK, told MCN the paintjob was a first for the superstock team. “We’ve done it for the superbike team before, so this is something a bit different.” One of the 100 bikes would be put on display at Honda’s headquarters, he said.

Brogan will ride with the yellow paint at the final superstock race of the season on October 12.

Brogan was pleased to wrap up the championship with a round to go. “It takes the pressure off, and means I can just go out and enjoy the last race,” he said.
