Southern 100 DVD gives more road racing thrills

The 2009 Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races have been heralded as some of the finest races ever seen around the Billown Course in its 54 year history.

With 16 races over Tuesday and Wednesday evenings plus all-day Thursday no less than nine victories were taken within half-a-second.

Greenlight Television were out in force filming the action with eight ground cameras, four kerb cams and 32 on-bike cameras.

That’s the highest number of bike cameras they have ever used at a single event.

In addition to the full coverage of all the races, cameras were also recording the paddock atmosphere and were present at the unique prize presentation in Castletown Square, providing in total four hours of breath-taking action, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the Southern 100.
