Triumph Daytona 675 test rider springs surprise

Supersport racer and Truimph test rider Paul Young has met the man who bought his one-off Daytona 675 race rep.

Young, who is lying 12th in the British Supersport Championship, presented Steven Purvin, 25 from London with a signed lid to go with his new 675 rep.

The bike, customised by Jack Lilley Triumph in Ashford, Middlesex, has Team Paul Young race livery and wheels, Alcantara seat, seat cowl and Arrow silencer.

Purvin said: “I bought this after I was knocked off my previous 675 by another bike. Young heard about the circumstances behind me buying the bike and decided to give me this signed lid.”

Purvin, who is in the army, had gone in to Jack Lilley’s to buy a Special Edition Daytona, but saw the one-off rep and decided to go for that instead.

Jack Lilley Triumph boss Dave Lilley has said if there is enough demand he may produce another Young rep.
