Win an Arai helmet with the No Budget Cup

1 of 3

A new Arai crash helmet is just one of the prizes up for grabs in the first ever No Budget Cup three-hour endurance race, at Anglesey on September 12th.

The new race series is aimed at riders who want to try their hand at road racing, without the huge expense. To keep costs down to a minimum, entry fees are low, there’s no ACU licence to apply for, you have to run Dunlop D211 GP Racer trackday control tyres and no new bikes are allowed. The NBC is only open to machines built between 1990 and 2000.

To keep things competitive, you’re not allowed to race if you’ve held a racing licence for the last ten years, so this is the perfect series for road riders and trackday goers.

All competitors will receive a free welcome pack, which includes Arai mechanic gloves and a visor bag. Winners will receive a set of Dunlop tyres, runner ups get an Arai crash helmet and third place an R&G goodie bag.

I’m going along to compete in the next round of the Belgium No Budget Cup series in Zolder next Tuesday, to see what it’s all about. I’m riding a mid-90s Yamaha FZR600 (see picture). Check out MCN in a few weeks time to see how I got on…
