Triumph has an amazing year ahead with the launch of the all-new Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC adventure bikes. And as if that wasn’t enough, there is also a revamped Speed Triple. Leading Triumph dealer Jack Lilley says the new bikes are drawing huge interest with potential customers booking test rides before the models are even in showrooms.

Jack Lilley, grandfather of current directors David and Katherine, founded Jack Lilley Ltd in 1959.

Initially a marine engineer Jack had developed an enviable reputation on the UK trials circuit, not only as a skilled rider but also for the machines he prepared and developed himself. The culmination of his bike development resulted in the fitment of an ex-military Triumph 350 single engine in an all-aluminium frame, the first of its kind in off-road riding. Winning at its first event, a 350cc class Open Trial with Jack on board, requests from other competitors for a similar machine soon saw Jack constructing bikes for sale and opening his own motorcycle dealership. Jack sold nine of those first machines in three years at a massive profit of £10 per bike!

Since these humble beginnings Jack Lilley Ltd has grown to become the UK’s leading solus Triumph dealership, internationally renowned for developing Triumph parts, accessories, and one-off custom specials. Motorcycle sport is still very much part of the Jack Lilley ethos with personal sponsorship for British Supersport racer Paul Young, campaigning a Daytona 675.

Jack Lilley’s is still very much a family business. Customer service is at the very core of the operation, resulting in many customers staying with the firm for decades. The shop has a welcoming friendly atmosphere; free tea and coffee is available and can be enjoyed on one of the comfy sofas in the lounge, or you can pass the time away while waiting for a service to be completed playing pool or bar football.
