MCN editor Marc Potter joined reigning BSB Evo champ Steve Brogan to complete the first full laps of the new Snetterton 300 circuit, along with competition winner Steve Mobbs.

The track is now operational after a winter of redevelopment. Steve Mobbs, riding his Yamaha Thunderace, took to the track alongside Potter and Brogan after winning the competition held in last week’s MCN.

Brogan said: “To be the one doing the first lap was awesome; the new circuit has been transformed and it will definitely produce more exciting racing without a doubt.

Marc Potter accompanied Brogan on a Honda Fireblade, and commented: “You need a completely new mindset when you ride the Snetterton 300 as the first section is like a brand new track, but then it has still kept some of the best features of the original layout. The racing is going to be amazing here and Snetterton has now become a destination rather than just a track.”

Mobbs added: “It has been a fantastic experience and I want to thank MCN and BSB for the chance to be one of the first to ride the new track. It is a brilliant layout and I would definitely like to come back again for a trackday before the BSB round.

Check out next week’s MCN for a full insight into the new Snetterton circuit.
