Win a place on the MT-07 world launch!

 

One lucky MCN reader will be jumping on a plane on February 7th, and heading out to Lanzarote where they’ll get the chance to ride Yamaha’s all-new MT-07 at the world press launch event.

The competition winner will be the first non-journalist UK rider to throw a leg over the new model – and it could be you.

The new parallel-twin engined MT-07 is being launched to sit alongside the MT-09 – the firm’s 893cc triple, which launched in September 2013. The Seven is now in full production at Yamaha’s Japanese factory, with the first bike (pictured) rolling off the production just before Christmas.

Global demand is likely to be significant, and with the MT priced in the UK at an impressive £5200 (plus OTR charges), it appears to represent exceptional value for money for such a sharp-styled and well-spec’d 689cc naked.

he competition winner will get the best test ride opportunity ever, riding as Yamaha’s guest on the island of Lanzarote, which is laced with stunning roads, views, and dramatically better weather than Britain in February.

After flying out on Friday February 7, the winner will be wined and dined by Yamaha in the evening, while being introduced to the bike with a full model briefing – just like the press launch – before retiring to their hotel.

On Saturday 8th they will get the opportunity to put the MT-07 through its paces on the same roads used by MCN journalists just days before, mixed with some relaxing leisure time, before a group dinner in the evening, and another night at the hotel. The winner will then fly home again on Sunday 9th.

We should probably point out that when MCN ran an identical competition for the MT-09 launch, the winner returned home and marched into his local dealer to order himself a new bike – so you have been warned, this extraordinary prize could result in wallet abuse.

The winner must be over 21 years-old, available to travel on the 7-9 February 2014, have a full, valid ‘A’ category motorcycle licence, and a valid passport at the time of travel.

All flights, hotels, and hospitality will be provided by Yamaha, along with a fuelled MT-07, a pre-set route to enjoy, and a photographer to record your once-in-a-lifetime experience. Entries close on 20 January – so don’t delay!
