London Custom Championships: Winners Announced

If you were lucky enough to make it to the Carole Nash MCN London Motorycle Show then you won’t have failed to have been astounded at the quality of the custom bikes entered into the London Custom Motorcycle Championships.

With outstanding bikes being displayed across several categories, the judging of this year’s event was particularly tricky. But the judges finally came to their decision, and so here is a rundown of the winners in each category.

 


 

BEST MODIFIED HARLEY CLASS

1st        Chris Nicols & Dave Batchelor of P & D Customs, Slinfold, West Sussex – 1200 Harley-Davidson Sportster

2nd       Clint & Al of Burnout Bikes, Downton, Wiltshire – XL1000 Harley-Davidson

3rd        Steve Willis of Shaw Speed & Custom, Lewes, East Sussex – 883 Harley-Davidson

 

BEST RETRO/OLD SCHOOL CLASS

  • 1ST       Snob of Snob’s Customs Cycles, London – SCC Panhead
     
  • 2nd       Gaz & Bujar of Auto Fabrica, Southend-on-Sea, Essex – SR 500
     
  • 3rd        Nigel Brooker of Nigel Brooker Custom Builds, Towcester, Northamptonshire – Honda CB 550

 

BEST STREET PERFORMANCE CLASS

1st        Steve Conway, Brighton, East Sussex – GSXR 1100 G Suzuki

2nd       Steve Hillary of Redmax Speedshop, Honiton, Devon – Redmax XR1000

3rd        Paul of Krazy Horse Customs, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk – Café Racer – Victory

  • 1st        Lin & Vic Jefford of Destiny Cycles, Kirbymoorside, Yorkshire – ‘Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong’
