MCN Sport TT Review issue out now!

1 of 1

The latest issue of MCN Sport goes on sale today. Made on the Isle of Man, mostly in the pub, the best bike racing magazine on earth has stunning pictures from arguably the best TT yet and a bit of a different take on the most terrifying road race on earth.

This was a year of heroic fight-backs, with McPint and Hutchy defying the odds in spectacular fashion. We talk to both as well as meeting TT Rider Liaison Officer Milky Quayle, asking Gary Johnson how he gets through Barregarrow at 150mph with the fairing on the floor, and pondering the Padgett secret: Just how does the Batley team keep on winning?

While we were there, Carl Fogarty invited us to pop round to watch some racing from his beer garden and our pet TT racer, MCN’s Road Tester Adam Child, explains how he crashed in practice for the Lightweight TT – and got a free ride in a helicopter afterwards. There are over 1900 marshals who volunteer at the TT. We hear some of their TT tales including UFOs at Ballaugh, wallabies at Quarry Bends and a Maria Costello obsession.

Meanwhile, four WSB heroes attack the TT course, James Hillier thrashes a Kawasaki H2R round the course and Manxman and World Enduro champ David ‘Knighter’ Knight takes us off road to find the best places to watch the event. As well as all the action from this year’s TT, we find out how after dabbling with a WSB return, Troy Bayliss is having a go at US flat track. It’s not going to plan.

We visit the craziest MotoGP of the year at Mugello in Italy, where fans worship Valentino Rossi, go without sleep for 36 hours and rev engines to destruction for a laugh. We find out from Sam Lowes and two fellow headcases how to get ahead in Moto2 and decide if either French 15-year old Fabio Quartararo or Maverick Vinales could be the next Marquez.

GP legend Kevin Schwantz tells us what he’s learned since he stopped racing and Chris Walker, BSB’s old giffer advises his upstart team mate Danny Buchan.
