Jumping sand dunes in virtual reality

Ever wanted to hop on an off-road bike with a huge paddle tyre on the back wheel and get some air over some gnarly dunes? Well thanks to virtual reality and action camera company GoPro you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Kind of.

GoPro tagged along with freestyle motocross legend Ronnie Renner and friends as they went for a play in the dunes of Idaho and captured the amazing footage you see above.

We’d love to see the same VR video over a lap of the TT course, or from Marquez’s point of view as he gets elbow-scraping angles of lean.
