Suzuki have announced the price of their new lightweight adventure bike, the V-Strom 250 with an RRP of £4,599 and is due to hit dealerships in October.

The bike was announced at last year’s Milan show and will join the new GSX250R. It promises to be an interesting addition to Suzuki’s line-up, and will allow riders on A2 licences to jump on a proper adventure styled machine.

The new machine will be powered by a 248cc parallel twin motor that will push out 24.7bhp and 23.4Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

Suzuki claim up to 88.28mpg  – this would give the bike a potential range of over 300 miles between fuel stops. And going by the returns that we experienced riding the GSX250 recently, these claimed figures actually look like it could be achievable.

The bike will also offer practical touches to make it a great machine for the everyday rider with a 12v socket and a full LCD dash display and a tall screen that will keep the rider out of the wind.

Optional extras are a three-piece hard luggage, hand guards and a centre stand.

The bike will be landing in dealerships sometime in October. Contact your local Suzuki dealership for more information.
