The 2018 Intermot motorcycle fair in Cologne came to a close today after a week of new bike releases and product launches across five large exhibition halls.

MCN attended the show at the beginning of the week to witness the first unveiling of models including the new Suzuki Katana, Ducati’s 2019 Scrambler range and KTM’s updated 1290 Superduke GT.

Alongside new machinery, a wide range of updated motorcycle tech and protective clothing was also on display, ranging from Dainese’s new astronaut-inspired Explorer adventure range, to the latest Bluetooth helmet headsets from Cardo Systems, which now come equipped with JBL speaker technology.

Open to both the world’s motorcycle press and the general public, there was also the chance to see live stunt shows, try riding a motorcycle for the first time or even just grab a beer and listen to some live bands.

Away from the latest two-wheeled metal, hall 10 also played host to a huge display of custom and retro bikes, including the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, with teams of builders from across the globe competing to take home the trophy.

You can see most of these bikes making their debut in the UK at Motorcycle Live from 17-25 November at The NEC.
