MCN rides the world's first production electric superbike

1 of 2

We’ve been granted an exclusive first ride on the Mavizen TTX02, the world’s first production superbike.

Powered by twin 96V DC Agni 95R electric motors, it makes the equivalent of 81bhp and has 77ftlb of torque (impressively, just 10% short of a Japanese 1000cc sportsbike), which it delivers smoothly and instantly the second you twist the throttle.

You need to forget everything you think you know about electrically powered vehicles because the Mavizen is shockingly good.

It’s fantastic around town and impresses out on the open road too. Housed in a KTM RC8 rolling chassis running Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa tyres, you can corner with confidence.

To find out how it goes, how to charge it up, how long the battery lasts, how much it costs to run and more, check out the 19 May issue of MCN and watch our preview video.
