I’ve covered a lot of miles on the Judge this year – approaching 8000 – and I’ve only just replaced the rear tyre.

In truth it could have done with a change 2000 miles ago as it was starting to square a lot, but there was still plenty of life left in the tread. A last minute trip to Switzerland meant I had no choice but to keep the original on.

Let’s look at the stats, the Judge pumps out a silly 113ftlb of torque, which the rear tyre has to contain.

Over the 7000 or so miles the original rear tyre was on it went through countless wheel-spinning traffic light starts, one too many wheel spins in the wet and maybe a few burnouts here and there.

I don’t know about you but I’m impressed it lasted so long.
