Kawasaki updates Nomad

Kawasaki has launched a new Vulcan Nomad cruiser in the US.

The original 1500cc bike was discontinued from the European line up at the beginning of 2002 but the machine continued to sell well in the States and has now been updated with a 1600cc fuel injected lump.

The new bike gets an improved fuel injection and engine management system and a gear driven engine counterbalancer to reduce vibrations.

It also gets lots of cosmetic updates including chrome engine guards, thicker passenger seat with backrest and aluminum grab bars and new pillion floorboards instead of pegs.

It is not yet clear if the bike will come to the UK
