New R6 takes on ZX-6R

The 2006 Yamaha R6 has arrived at the MCN offices for the first time to great excitement from all the staff.

The crowds rushed outside to get a first glimpse of the new bike in the flesh as it returned from taking on the Kawasaki ZX-6R in the Ardeche valley in France.

MCN Editor Marc Potter was the first to jump on the machine, coming back grinning after a quick blast around the car park.
