Choose your own engine

MZ has launched a special edition version of its odd-looking 1000SF naked bike and you get to choose what engine is used.

Only 25 of the Red bikes will be made and each one will come with a matt red paint finish on the fairing and tank while the engine holder, foot rest holder, foot rests and handlebar are all black anodised, the exhaust is black and the Lightcon TSW aluminium wheels get a black coating with a subtle red rim tape.

When it comes down to the engine it is up to you to make the choice of whether you go for more power or more torque.

You can choose to fit either the 117bhp parallel twin engine from the 1000S Sport or the more torque-oriented engine from the 1000SF SuperFighter.

No official price has been released yet for the SF Red but it is expected to be between the £6450 SF and the £7000 ST touring version. It should be available to order from August.
