R1 gets the thumbs up

MCN’s Chief Road Tester Trevor Franklin is in Qatar right now testing the new 2007 Yamaha R1, and he’s just been on the phone to give us his first impressions of the all-new Yamaha superbike.

Speaking from the track, Trevor said: “The best way to describe the new bike is to say that it feels and rides like a very polished version of the current R1.

“All the small improvements and the large improvements all work together to make the most complete R1 we’ve yet seen.”
