Honda reveal more engine details of VFR1200

Honda has just released this video explaining more technical details of the new  1200cc V4 engine that will power the all-new VFR1200 sports tourer due to be seen in October in finished form.

The engine designer goes into detail about the challenges involved in making the engine as compact as possible claiming it’s as wide as a V-twin. The engine has a Unicam head design similar to the CRF four stroke motocross range.

The latest revelations come just a week after Honda officially announced the development of a dual clutch transmission which will be fitted as an option to later versions of the VFR1200.
