Three men in a garage build electric RGV250

1 of 1

This electric Suzuki RGV250 has been built by three Derbyshire bike fanatics to tackle the big-cash efforts in the TTXGP UK electric bike racing series. It’s possibly the most shoestring electric race effort yet – the chassis cost £13.

The trio of Network Rail engineers have taken a combination of parts bought, begged and borrowed to pull together an almost complete bike but they are still scrabbling for cash to get it fully sorted before the start of the racing season in July at Cadwell Park.

The bike is based around a 1989 Suzuki RGV250 chassis which, along with the forks, shock and yokes was bought on eBay for £13.
