Ducati sales are up 68 percent in North America in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the same time last year, they announced Monday. However, Ducati did not release their sales figures. Find Ducati motorcycles for sale

“We have had an outstanding start to the year,” said Cristiano Silei, CEO of Ducati North America.

According to John Canton, Public Relations Manager for Ducati North America, the Mulistrada 1200 and 848EVO have been leading the charge in increased sales in the region. The Diavel, which was released in late March, has generated much interest in the market but did not contribute to sales figures.

Additional dealerships have opened up in Mexico, which could be helping sales figures but Canton said the numbers only make up a small portion of overall sales in North America.

Further testament to Ducati’s sales figures, just two to four new dealers have opened in the US, and those that have are replacing older dealers.
