Yamaha unveils new FJR 1300 AE

1 of 1

Yamaha is expanding its FJR tourer range with this FJR 1300 AE.

A step up from the base FJR-A, the AE comes with electronically-adjustable suspension but does without the clutchless gear-shift of the higher-spec AS model. These changes slot the AE between the higher spec AS and bog-standard A.

ESA allows riders to adjust the suspension to suit varying road surfaces and luggage loads done via a bar-mounted switch. The system has twelve pre-defined settings available. For those of you who prefer to fine tune your suspension, there’s manual adjustment available as well.

As with the previous FJR models, the FJR 1300 AE comes with panniers, heated grips and 12v socket as standard, and is available in two colours, Magnetic Bronze or Midnight Black. The AE debuts in October at a price of £14,499.
