Off-road riding returns to IoM

Footpaths and public rights of way are being re-opened to the public for off-road riding.

" We are happy for bikers to come and ride around the island, as long as they take the necessary precautions " said Manx minister for tourism and leisure David Cretney.

He also confirmed that next year’s TT will be going ahead even if Foot and Mouth is still on the mainland.

" There will be fences put up to keep the livestock away from the spectators, however we are still in discussions with farmers about the best way to do this " he said.
