Chad Reed took his sixth straight win in the 125cc class in St.Louis and with it the Eastern Regional championship with four rounds remaining.

The 19-year-old Aussie star blasted into the lead on lap two and kept his Yamaha out on front all the way to the flag to take his maiden title.

Afterwards Reed said; ” I’ve been waiting for this my whole life – the American fans have been great to me this yearand I want to thank them for that. ”

Behind Reed, Kawasaki’s Eric Sorby finished second with Greg Schnell in third ahead of fellow Yamaha rider Jeff Gibson.

But Reed won’t be defending his title next season – he’s signed to ride for Yamaha again in the 250 class.
