Jefferies blasts to Production victory

David Jefferies has demolished more lap records on his way to victory in today’s 1000cc Production race on the Isle of Man.

He led all the way to finish 15.5 seconds ahead of his TAS Suzuki team-mate Ian Lougher.

Lougher finished almost half a minute ahead of Kiwi Bruce Anstey on another GSX-R1000 in third. Jefferies took almost one a half minutes off his own personal best and he also knocked almost 17 seconds off Iain Duffus’ lap record.

Colin Edwards, on the Island as a guest of Honda UK, took part in the parade lap on an SP-1. The Texan told MCN: " It’s incredible. I don’t know how those guys remember it all. "
