Jefferies on course for 126mph TT lap

David Jefferies looks set to be the first man to crack the 126mph lap of the TT course after he shaved 2.2 seconds off the record and set a new fastest lap of 125.95mph on the Formula One TAS Suzuki GSX-R1000 in last nights practice.

Further stamping his domination on the field he knocked over 30 seconds from the Production 1000cc record, with a best time of 124.68mph.

John McGuinness put in a personal best 123.32 on the Honda UK FireBlade to go second in the Formula One, with Jim Moodie third.

Adrian Archibald was second in the Formula One with 121.15mph and Richard Briton third with 119.16mph.

The Formula One race starts at 2pm on Saturday June 2, with the Sidecar A under way at 5pm.
