European Supermoto series gets under way

The first round of the European Supermotard Championship takes place this weekend May 11 –12 at the Parc de l’Aumaillerie, Fougeres in France.

Big names like Thierry van den Bosch and Eddy Seel, the French and German supermoto series leaders respectively, will be there along with ex-road racing stars like Sebastien le Grelle and Alessandro Gramigni the two factory Husaberg riders.

The resurgent Maico factory will be competing with its fearsome 685cc two-stroke machine with Greek national champion John Boustas.

Free practice starts on Saturday at 1pm with official qualifying at 5pm (CET). On Sunday the races start at 2pm and 4.30pm.
